one angry canon…
…but thankfully not a loose one!
I am taking a break from blogging, honestly, but for quite some time now I have wanted to put a few thoughts into words regarding what is happening in Gaza. My dear friend, and intrepid leader on the trip I took to the West Bank last October, Garth says all I want to express…take a look
He is normally such a meek figure… honest
Take care of yourself love, come back to us someday, don’t forget I/We are here anytime… you have my email.

Well said. He has a powerful voice and by powerful I don’t mean loud! I hope he continues to make a difference. Every morning when I hear the news of Gaza, I see the faces of those lovely children from your pics…a boy and and girl. I think the girl is in pink and I think you have 2 pics of them, one with backpacks on. I can’t access those pics from this computer so I forget the details..it doesn’t matter. I also think of that older gentleman walking in front of the graffiti wall. Anyways, I just wonder if they are safe. Will be praying for you..take care…stay close to Jesus, Karyne

Unfortunately my connection is abysmally slow so didn’t have time to wait for it to load. I am sorry you won’t be around for the foreseeable future but i certainly understand your need for a break.
Sometimes the blogosphere can help because people are genuinely so supportive but sometimes…. well….sometimes it just doesn’t help. Nothing does. I hope with all my heart that you can find some kind of peace amongst the mayhem that is your world right now.
I do hold out hope that you will find your way back one day.

The only thing missing from that was Amen.
I don’t agree with what Isreal is doing and I deplore what Hammas is doing but the Isrealis have taken a page out of history and become The Nazi’s they so much fall back on for sympathy and have become them in the present and sadly with the blessings of our leaders silence and klack of action against them.

Thanks, i am doing ok…. might be the odd post back sooner than imagined, was away in london this weekend meeting up with the crowd i went to the West bank with – and with the ceasefire and the war crimes…. well, you know me, can’t keep quiet for long with regards to that…
Karyne
again, thanks – those children and the old fella were in a refugee camp in the West Bank about 25 miles from Gaza, and whilst the ceasefire is in place i think it’s pretty fragile – one hopes that this overwhelming attack on an occupied people doesn’t raise up some nutters to retaliate in a non-violence way – sadly violence mostly breeds violence and i worry for the future…
Angel
wise words….i guess my blog has never been about my daily life but rather my thoughts on issues and feelings – humanity at its best and worst – ironically i may be back sooner than i thought!
Walker
good to hear from you – i passed you comment on to Garth at the weekend – he promises to say amen next time
….ps, agreed!

Just watched the wonderful Garth, am in tears and blown away and so very proud of him. What a man – that is someone driven by passion and righteous outrage. So glad you have been able to get to know him and fallen in love with the Palestinians. Take care.
